Rates & Terms
I work remotely, as a freelancer. Right now I take on video editing and design projects — from a single task to ongoing support. I work as a registered sole proprietor in Ukraine: a contract or a public offer, an invoice, payment to a business account.
Pricing
Price depends on scope, complexity and deadline. The figures below are baselines — I quote the exact amount after the brief. Dollar figures are the amounts I invoice clients outside Ukraine; they already cover currency conversion and the bank charges on my side.

What moves the price
- Urgency. Weekend work or a same-day start adds 40%.
- Volume of source material: two hours of footage and twenty hours are different jobs.
- Number of final versions and formats. Horizontal, vertical and square are three separate edits, not one.
- Whether a brief, a script or a brand book already exists.
Process
Brief
You describe the task, the deadline, and show me the material.
Estimate
Within 1–2 business days I send you the price, the timeline and the scope of work.
Start
Invoice and a 50% deposit. Once it is paid, the task goes into the schedule.
Work
Work-in-progress versions come to you for approval at the key stages.
Revisions
Two rounds are included in the price.
Delivery
After full payment I hand over the final files.
Everything we agree on is put in writing — in correspondence or in the contract.
Timelines
I give the timeline after looking at the material — a lot depends on the current workload. Roughly:
- Short social media video — from 2 business days.
- Interview or talking-head video — from 3 business days.
- Cover — from 4 business days.
- Book typesetting — from 2 weeks.
The clock starts the moment all the materials and the deposit are in. A delay on your side — material not sent, a long approval — moves the deadline by the same number of days.
Revisions
Two rounds of revisions are included in the price. A round is one consolidated list of comments, not ten separate messages over the course of a day.
Billed separately
- The third and any further rounds — $11 / hour.
- Changes after a stage has been approved: re-editing a structure already signed off, a new cover concept.
- New inputs that were not there at the start: extra material, a changed script, a different running time.
From you
- One person in charge who makes the decisions. When revisions come from three people and contradict each other, the work stops.
- Material in the agreed form: source video not compressed by messengers, text in an editable format, logo in vector.
- Billing details — at the invoice stage.
Payment
- Registered sole proprietor in Ukraine, single-tax group III, not registered for VAT. All prices exclude VAT.
- Payment by bank transfer. Clients in Ukraine — to my hryvnia business account; clients abroad — SWIFT in US dollars to my business currency account.
- Payoneer, if that is easier on your side.
- Intermediary bank fees on an international transfer are on the sender’s side.
- Documents: an invoice, and a service agreement if you need one.
- No withholding is required on your side — I pay my own taxes in Ukraine.
- A Ukrainian tax residency certificate on request, for double taxation treaty purposes.
- A 50% deposit, the balance after the final version is approved and before the files are handed over. With new clients I do not start without a deposit.
- For ongoing clients, invoicing at the end of the month is possible.
- Full payment details come with the invoice.
Delivery
- Final files are delivered through Google Drive.
- Video formats: MP4 H.264, 1080p or 4K. Others on request.
- Design: print-ready PDF/X-4 with bleeds and marks, plus JPG or PNG for screen.
- Working project files — the edit project, the layout — on request, at no extra charge.
- Approved final files I keep indefinitely.
- Your source material — footage, photos — I keep for 90 days after delivery, then delete. This is not a backup: keep your own copy. If you need it held longer, say so up front.
Rights
Ownership of the finished work passes to the client after full payment. Until then the files remain mine.
I reserve the right to show completed work in my portfolio, on social media and on this site. If the material is confidential or has to be released later, tell me at the start and we will agree an embargo or an NDA.
Licences for third-party material — fonts, music, stock footage and photos — are paid for by the client unless we agree otherwise. I do not use such material without a licence.
Factual accuracy of text, names, dates and figures in the layouts is the client’s responsibility. A final proofread before printing is a required step on your side; once the layout is approved, printing errors are not mine to answer for.
Risks
- Cancellation after the start: the deposit covers the work already done and is not refunded. If more has been done than the deposit covers, the actual volume is billed.
- Rescheduling a project is discussed separately.
- I am in Ukraine. Air raid alerts, blackouts and connection outages happen. I have backup power and internet, so most days this changes nothing — but during long outages or shelling the timeline can shift. I flag it as soon as I see the risk.
Out of scope
- I do not take projects for exposure, for a percentage, or for views.
- I do not do unpaid test assignments.
- I do not guarantee reach, sales or any other result that does not depend on the edit.
